Experienced RiderCourse Schedule

This course is designed for riders who want to obtain a motorcycle endorsement or just wanting practice on their own motorcycle. Successful completion will waive the written and riding test for a motorcycle endorsement at the Colorado DMV.

The Experienced RiderCourse consists of 5 hours of on-cycle instruction, a 3 hour classroom session and a required eCourse (approximately 2 hours on-line).

This course is normally held on a Saturday or Sunday from 8:00am - 6:00pm at either our Training Center located at 6th and Kipling in Lakewood or Thunder Ridge High School Range in Highlands Ranch. At our 6th and Kipling Training facility, we have two ranges within 60 feet of one another that can each accommodate 12 students. When you register, your class code will include a range number (R1 or R2) which is used only for "head count" purposes. The Thunder Ridge Range in Highlands Ranch can accommodate up to 11 students.

Classes scheduled at the Training Center (6th and Kipling, Lakewood), participants have the choice of using their own motorcycle (preferred), or one of MRTC's training bikes if available. If it is necessary to use one of our training bikes, an additional $20.00 rental fee will be charged. You must call the office prior to the class to reserve and pre-pay for the bike. When using your motorcycle you must be able to show proof of insurance and current registration.

Classes scheduled at the Thunder Ridge High School Range (Highlands Ranch), participants must use their own motorcycle and be able to show current registration and proof of insurance. No training bikes are available at this location.

Please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your training scheduled start time. Riders taking this class at either location, must wear a DOT approved helmet, eye protection (goggles, eye or sunglasses), full fingered gloves, long sleeve shirt or jacket, long sturdy pants, and over-the-ankle footwear. If you have any questions about the appropriate gear needed, please call us for clarification.

We have also occasionally run this course during a weekday for specific groups. If that is something of interest for your riding group, please give us a call.
