Intersection — Motorist Awareness

This is a one-hour, classroom-only program for non-motorcyclists that stresses ways to share the road with motorcycles. Designed to enhance motorists' awareness of motorcycles, the class combines personal stories with a dramatic look at a crash scene that is all too common. Classroom activities can be tailored to meet the needs of new drivers in driver education courses, experienced drivers who may or may not ride a motorcycle, and professional drivers/truckers. Based on the audience, one of three 13 minute DVD video versions is used to highlight key points. Take-away materials are provided to the participants.

Share the Adventure — Group Riding

This is a one-hour, classroom-only program that provides information on proper group riding procedures and techniques. This program describes how to put safety first whenever participating in a group ride. Ride preparation and organization, pre-ride meetings, hand signals, and proper riding formations in complex traffic situations are some of the topics covered. A 16 minute DVD video is used to highlight key points. Take-away materials are provided to the participants.

Riding Straight — Alcohol Awareness

This is a one-hour, classroom-only program designed to provide basic information about the effects of alcohol and other drugs on the riding task, and serves as a reminder of the dangers of riding impaired. The program features interactive Fatal Vision Simulator Goggles so participants can experience alcohol's impairing effects (at a 0.08 BAC level) with a sober mind. A 12 minute DVD video is used to highlight key points. Take-away materials are provided to the participants.

Seasoned Rider — Aging Awareness

This is a one-hour, classroom-only program about how to be a safer rider as one gets older. It consists of several fun-filled engaging learning activities that allow a rider to personally assess how age may have an effect on the mental and physical skills needed to ride safely. An award-winning 13 minute DVD video is used to highlight key points. Take-away materials are provided to the participants.

Street Smart — Rider Perception

This is a 1.5 hour, classroom-only program designed to improve a rider's perceptual skills. Modern visual technology is used to simulate using the eyes and mind for improved identification of traffic hazards. Take-away materials are provided to the participants.
